Welcome to GENESIS
Built to Explore
The goal was simple enough. We aimed to create the best truck bed canopy camper on the market. Period.
Built to Endure
We went to great lengths to bring together the highest-end materials. Along with the best manufacturing.
Built to Enjoy
It’s so cozy you may never care to sleep in your own bed again… and that’s OK.
How We Built The Best Canopy Camper on the Market
Below are all standard features of the Gensesis Canopy Camper
PLATED WITH T6 EXTRUDED ALUMINUM
The Genesis Canopy Camper is plated with lightweight aluminum. The frame is composed entirely of T6 aluminum extrusions. They’re designed to be larger than the extrusions in our Dirtbox Canopy Camper, yet the aluminum is thinner. This allows room for our new lavish LushSleep mattress and thicker bedding to be stored inside the camper when it’s closed up.
All T6 aluminum extrusions provide optimum strength and stiffness and higher load ratings. We’ve also used rigid T6 aluminum strategically to eliminate the “diving board effect”, which can threaten structural integrity and cause damage to the roof of the vehicle. This is a common design pitfall in many canopy campers when the cab overhang lacks rigidity. Despite the oversized cab over platform — which ensures the utmost possible space for sprawling, snoozing, and whatever other activities you choose to partake in inside your canopy camper — you’ll never have to worry about too much flexion or your camper scraping your roof.
The Genesis isn’t just flashy. It’s plated with purpose, tough as nails, and doesn’t ask you to sacrifice an ounce of your rig's trail capability.
REFUGE FROM THE ELEMENTS: STORMGUARD FABRIC™
Developed specifically for the Genesis Canopy Camper and tested against the most demanding circumstances, we’re proud to introduce Stormguard Fabric™. Our innovative 5-layer 4-season tent material.
A tough outer layer of weather-resistant Cordura Nylon is bonded to a 100% waterproof, breathable membrane that keeps water on the outside from coming in and allows condensation inside the tent to dissipate outwards. Next is an anti-friction layer that prevents chaffing and preserves the integrity of the tent material over time. An insulative layer maintains a mild, comfortable temperature inside the cabin whether in the desert or the Arctic Circle.
The interior layer is the part you’ll see and feel the most. We chose an Alcantara-inspired material that embodies true luxury. You’ll find similar fittings in the interiors of everything from a Porsche to a Lamborghini. It provides a soft yet durable suede-like feel and hexagonal quilting adds to the high-end style and feeling of richness. The places you’ll park will be incredible but, fair warning, you may never want to leave your tent.
EXPEDITION-WORTHY THERMACORE PLATFORMS
The roof and bed panels inside Genesis are directly descended from components we’ve used to build some of the world’s most capable expedition vehicles. These Thermacore Platforms feature 26-30mm Sandwich Panel Construction consisting of a layer of insulation sandwiched between two thin layers of aluminum.
The layers of each panel are permanently bonded together using high pressure and heat injection molded high density polyethylene. It’s a feat of engineering resulting in a rooftop panel that deflects heat from the beating sun so you can sleep in as late as you want and a bed platform strategically designed to flex just enough to provide a true “sleeping on a box spring” feel.
Our advanced manufacturing process eliminates the need to use any glues. Eliminating the need for glues enabled us to build a more tailored and comfortable bed panel without the risk of delamination. This is a far cry from your average foam pad on a sheet of metal setup.
FUNCTIONAL LUXURY LUXETHERM™ LAYERS
Each Thermacore Sandwich Panel Platform is lined on the inside with innovative Luxetherm™ material. Luxetherm™ is a proprietary velvet-esque material that’s soft to the touch and acts like velcro securing the mattress in place on the bed platform.
But that’s not all, Luxetherm™ is a highly functional finish that keeps condensation from gathering in one of the places it tends to accumulate most — under the mattress. It’s a key player in mitigating condensation and keeping the cabin warm, dry, and cozy.
INTEGRATED SPOD SWITCH PANELS: LUXURY ILLUMINATED
While the build quality is unmatched, the fine details catapult Genesis into a league of its own. Each Genesis Canopy Camper comes fitted with an integrated DualView sPOD Touch System. These touchscreen switch panels are located both on the lower level and the upper level of the camper so you can set the mood — or flash a ditch light at a curious bear in the night — from wherever you’re at.
Dimmable backlit amber lighting runs along each sidewall of the canopy camper, illuminating your master suite. The amber color is not only relaxing but is also less likely to attract bugs. The interior lighting as well as all exterior and auxiliary lights are run through the sPOD control panels and can be connected via Bluetooth.
HURRICANELIFT™ SCISSOR SYSTEM
Yes, scissor lifts have existed in various applications for years, but none quite like our new HurricaneLift™ Scissor System. We re-engineered the traditional scissor lift. The burly patent pending Hurricanelift™ Scissor System is built for unmatched durability and strength. It can handle extreme winds from any direction and enables you to easily deploy the Genesis canopy with up to 100 lbs mounted on the roof.
Just unlatch the canopy camper and give it a gentle push upwards from the tailgate. The HurricaneLift™ takes over, deploying the tent in seconds.
This groundbreaking system flaunts the best of both worlds — the spaciousness that parallel (or clamshell) style rooftop tents offer and the resilience of a wedge-style tent. Gone are the days of claustrophobia and those awkward six inches of unusable space at the nose of your wedge-style tent. The HurricaneLift™ converts this space into useable real estate with 16 inches of additional headroom in your rooftop suite.
